Save name for Control Devices

Is it possible to save MIDI Control Devices with user defined names instead of the default numbering?

Not possible, but you could have a custom name here.

I see but where does that name show up after saving?
It’s not on the Control Device’s list.

It is not displayed in the device list, but when you change the active device, the name in the field that I have shown to you will change.

Yes but the field is dimmed (red emphasis in the image).
Shouldn’t (or couldn’t) the saved name be visible in the Controller List? (yellow emphasis).
