I frequently use shell voicings for guitar comping. Every project that I start I must input the shell voicing before aI can use them.
I’ve tried saving them to the library, but it appears I don’t know how to do that successfully. In any event the chords are not presented as a choice in a later (new) project.
My understanding is that Dorico is trying to match my chord symbol with the actual diagram, and that omitting a root, or a fifth messes up that process.
So why not allow me to save a shape, name it – something like Eb7_R4. And allow Dorico to recognize the Eb7 text – allowing it o present the chord shape as an option for me in whatever project.
I really dislike having to input the same chord shapes again and again over many different projects. It’s a real time suck!
Is there a way to do this?
