Whichever folder I choose to save files I get the message"No such file or directory error creating zip file … Name of file I have chosen."
Are there any unusual symbols or accented characters in your desired filename? Is the length of the filename plus your destination path exceptionally long? From memory some file systems have a maximum length of 255 characters, but I’m sure someone will correct me if I’ve misremembered.
Are you (unintentionally) trying to save to a network drive that is off line, or a cloud storage service, or something similar?
Thanks for your comments. My chosen folders are all in Windows eg Documents,Music Dorico, Projects etc on C drive
Sorry put comma in wrong place. It should be Documents,Music, Dorico projects etc
John, please choose Help > Create Diagnostic Report and attach the zip file created on your desktop to a reply here, and we should be able to figure it out.
The only time I’ve come across the “error creating zip file” message is when I’ve either tried to save locked files, or saved files to locked folders.
John, that zip file is incomplete. Can you perhaps try attaching it to an email and sending it to me at d dot spreadbury at steinberg dot de instead?
