Is it possible to save multiple different sets of default settings? I have a couple of different styles I commonly want to write in Dorico, and they require pretty drastically different notation and engraving default settings.
I read this thread https://www.steinberg.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=246&t=110291, but that was a little while ago.
No, there’s no proper support for importing/exporting styles between projects just yet. I’m sorry to say that it won’t be included in the forthcoming update either, but it is a high priority and we will hopefully make some progress for the next one.
Okay, good to know; thanks!
I suppose I could make macros for going through the various options windows and changing the settings…
That might work, but I wouldn’t bet on it. In theory if you were to go through the dialogs and change all the settings, then click Apply, while recording a macro, the command saved in the script would include all of the changed values, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a few gremlins in the process.
The other macro I tried which involved switching to the Engrave mode seeeeemed to work, but it might have been luck. I’ll give it a go and report back.
