Why doesn’t WL save its edit windows setting? This is been a problem since it was released. I have to manually reset the edit window every time that I start up WL even though it is saved as “default”. Also I have noticed that recently WL does not always save the last project in the edit window in the list of files. The same problem exists with the last used plugin list.

I am on Windows 10 and have all the updates and I am on the latest version of WL 12. Thanks in advance.

I do not have these same problems with WL 11. FWIW

I am talking about the overall edit window with all the parts including the ribbon and the master section. I set my “window” up the way I feel is best for me but for some reason WL12 will not remember the way I have it setup. FYI

Maybe others call it something different but to me the “edit window” has always been the place I do most of my work.

This does not exactly answer my question about which settings you are speaking about.
But certain settings are only saved and restored if you check these options.

THANKS FOR THE EXPLANATION AND HELP!!!

I did check all the items you showed and they were all set up as you suggested. So that is not the problem. Also it does not explain the problems when WL does not always save the last project in the edit window in the list of files. A similar problem exists with the last used plugin list when it is not updated when I close the file and the plugin. Where is all this information stored? Thanks in advance…
