Saving/reloading a track folder/rack instrument

I’ll have a folder of tracks, say, VSL Chamber Strings, containing a track for vln1, vln2, etc. All of these share the same Rack Instrument connection to 'VSL Chamber Strings" in Vienna Ensemble Pro. This set of tracks contains Expression Map selections for each track, track colors, etc… I’d like to be able to save off this set of tracks so I can load “VSL Chamber Strings” and have the expression maps set up, track colors, etc. Track Presets and Track Archives don’t seem to want to reload the Rack Instrument. How could I accomplish this?

The goal is to be able to start a new project, and select the folder/instrument sets I need for that project. “This time I’d like VSL Chamber Strings” and I can somehow add that set of instruments to my project, including the Rack Instruments VST. (I inherited a monster server from a failed startup on which I have all my VST’s available under Vienna Ensemble Pro.)

I get that Cubase doesn’t save folders per se, but being able to create a folder manually and then populate it with all the instruments ready to go would be a lot better than what I’m doing now.

You can’t do that with Rack Instruments. Not in one swoop at least. The MIDI Tracks (and folders) can be saved and imported as track archives but you would likely have to reconnect them to the rack instrument. Another option is to use Track Instruments.

I use Instrument Tracks to set up Track Archives for drums etc as per the attached screenshots. Works well for me but I have no experience with Vienna Ensemble Pro. Hope this helps.
