Scanning Steinberg stock vst3 plugins in Waves StudioVerse

Hi, since waves upgraded StudioRack to StudioVerse you can use vst3 plugins once scanned. However I can only get a few Steinberg VST3’s to appear in StudioVerse. I have tried scanning various different folders, but can’t get the basic Steinberg VST3 FX to appear. Anyone have any tips on this.

Using Cubase Pro 12

Hi,

Most of the plug-ins are available only in Cubase.

I’m not using them outside of the cubase program

Hi,

I understand, the StudioVerse is a VST host, or am I wrong?

I thought that ALL Cubase stock plugins aren’t available in 3 party app, if I’m wrong could you please give a detailed list?

Waves’s studio verse it’s very handy to use plugins with a dry/wet knob or in Mid/Side mode

Would be great to use Cubase in studioverse this way…

But I’m afraid we are not allowed

Yes, but if I am not wrong it works only inside the DAW, not in standalone

But I think that once it can see a plugin you could use Steonberg plugins in other daw…

Hi,

It depends on the point of view. For example HALion Sonic SE can be used in any host. Voxengo Curve EQ is technically not a Steinberg plug-in, but it’s part of Cubase license. And if I’m not mistaken, you can use this in any DAW.

The plug-in can see only its host. Not the host of the host. Same as you can’t see Cubase plug-ins in Maschine (if I’m not mistaken).

Thanks Martin, yeah I guess VSTi are available in other DAWs, but frankly I was thinking about FX only, I dont use/need other daws, Cubase is everything I need

Just would be handy to have Cubase FX plugins with the mix knob or in MS mode [magneto, autopanner, Frequency and so on]. But I think that soon or later we will have those functions directly in Cubase

The dream solution would be a Cubase own studioverse plugin" lol I think it would drive mad many of us
