I recently got the urge to use a bit of hardware with cubase, so I purchased a Scarlett 4th gen 20-18 interface to hook up an SH01a, Perkons, RX5, R70 and Juno X. Two full days of trying to record audio going through all the correct audio connection procedures.,all set up well in Focusrite control and the audio is as clear as bell going in, but nothing more than a faint waveform of distortion recorded ? The audio connection settings also become erratic.
Oh hang I have Reason 12 which I normally use as plug-in only. Maybe I could try that as a stand alone ? Blimey ! Works perfectly with no fiddling about. Kind of strange to see Reason with Groove Agent5 & Halion 7 as plug-ins.
Any one got a secret tip/trick for Cubase audio that I haven’t seen ? Or is Reason now my new friend. If I’m honest it’s making sense too as I make and use loads of REX files. Down side - my Qube controller is now redundant along with Cubase unless I can sort it all out.
( note ,I did briefly get Scarlett working with Cubase 12 but that too became a bit erratic) Any ideas ?
