Is it possible to display different facets of a score with different colors?
I especially need to display all repeat signs & symbols in red.
This also needs to appear in print and image file rendering.
You can set the color of things through the properties panel, but I don’t think there’s any mechanism to set all of “x” to red.
If you have Dorico Pro, you can try editing the underlying symbols in the corresponding Library menu dialog - eg playing techniques are under Playing Techniques.
The repeat marking symbols would be in Music Symbols, I believe.
A similar question is the Facebook forum. I did some experimenting. The properties panel color option does not change the color of repeat barlines, at least not on windows.
That may be a bug or an oversight. I doubt it’s a platform issue. Perhaps @dspreadbury could shed some light.
Dorico does not have a mechanism to change the color of barlines. This was discussed as early as 7 years ago, and was brought up again just yesterday.
Not all types of notations respond to the Color property, I’m afraid.
