Score Editor Acoustic Feedback Button in Cubase 14

Hi all,
As I generally compose in Score Editor I appreciate the ability to hear each note as I insert it. However, I think I may have pressed a button somewhere that has altered the way it used to work. When the Acoustic Feedback Button is pressed I not only hear the note that I insert by clicking my mouse but all the notes as it travels across the staff lines without clicking. If I deselect the Acoustic Feedback Button I can no longer hear the notes I do insert by clicking my mouse. How can I get back to hearing the note I insert when I click my mouse but not hearing any other notes as my mouse travels across the page. Thanks for any help.

You’ll need to turn off acoustic feedback entirely at the moment if you want to avoid that. We’ll provide a preference to toggle that behaviour separately in a future patch release (as also mentioned in a similar thread: Enter a note in Cubase 14 score editor)

Ok Stefan, thanks for your help, at least I now know Steinberg are aware of the anomaly and a patch is on the way.

Copying my response from that other thread as this one is a bit more recent…

This is interesting to me!
As someone who composes by ear in the Score Editor, I need to be able to hear all potential pitches as I position a note on the stave.
Even though it is an unpopular option for many, I hope it will remain as an option.
It is because of uncertainty about this stuff that I have remained with Cubase 13 and the old Score Editor.
Thanks
