The low F should extend two bars. Tried using set note value; it just will not treat the notes independently.
Use polyphonic staff to separate notes / voices
Polyphonic mode seems to be really unwieldy. No, I discovered the only solution apparently is to put it on a separate midi track and make sure it’s not in split mode. That works really well.
There is no reason why you should not be able to do that.
Depending on your Cubase version, just use Note Overlay or the Nudge command (available in the toolbar) or the settings in the Info Line in the extended toolbar or the Key Editor to extend the note.
