Score editor features

Hello,

I have Cubase 13 AI and the score editor, it looks to me, has no polyphonic staff, so I cannot work with voices. Planning to upgrade to Cubase Elements 15. In the Cubase 15 comparision table all versions, even AI and LE, shows a thick for Score Editor. So I understand they all have the Score Editor, but from my experience in version 13, some versions have a stripped down version of the Score Editor.

Question: can I work with poliphony/voices in the Score Editor in Cubase 15 Elements? Which different features of the Score Editor are present in different versions of Cubase 15?

I can’t speak for feature set, but the Score Editor that was in Cubase 13 and earlier has been entirely - and I mean entirely - dumped, ahem, exchanged for a sub-set of the Dorico Score program, since Cubase 14. All editions.
Be aware.

The new Score Editor will be a big step up from the one in Cubase 13 AI or LE. You can see it in action in the trial version, it’s the same in all levels of Cubase from AI and LE through Pro.

@Googly_Shakespeare had you used the Score Editor?

Aye, and I bought Dorico Elements. But it took me 25 years to get to grips with the old editor (I’m a slooow learner!) and I don’t think I have 25 years left in me to learn Dorico.

My main point is that the editors are different, so expect that.

After one and a half years since it´s release the new score editor is still far from a release-worthy version. Lots of aspects are not thought to the end, many random things happen because of bad automation features, and compared to the old score editor, the feature set is ridiculously small.
Far from “a big step up”, quite the opposite IMHO

Yes, you can work with multiple voices in Cubase 15 Elements.

I said- it’s a big step up from what was in the AI and LE versions, which it is.
