Score editor in Cubase, different versions?

I have Dorico, but have barely used it. I am at the moment a Sibelius user, but am open to moving.

At the moment Sibelius-DAW (usually Logic) sync is important to my workflow. So I have to use Rewire, which on a Mac means Rosetta. But Rosetta is deprecated, and though it all works fine now, it won’t forever and I want to prepare for the future.

Does the score editor in Cubase have the same capabilities in all tiers of Cubase 15?

If there are differences, what are they please?

How does the “best” version of the Score Editor in Cubase compare with Dorico itself. I have a full version of Dorico, but no version of Cubase.

Many thanks.

Until you get other replies, did you find these here at the forum?

This thread might be useful to skim through as it might apply to you using a DAW and notation

with references to Cubase and Dorico and what you are wanting to do, various links in it also.

Cubase, you can trial it for 60 days

If Cubase does not give you the detailing you need for the notation output, then you can use Dorico for this as you already have it, feel free to ask here (or use the Dorico manual, or search here etc.) for preparing the final output, meaning you might not need to learn too much about Dorico itself, if most of it is already there from Cubase.
(There is a large difference between Sibelius and Dorico, as you might have already found!)

Hopefully others will reply here for you

For anyone coming here in the future, continuation of this here at the Cubase forum
