Score editor intermittently loses sync when nudging notes

MacOS, CB 15.0.10 (but this bug has been there since the new score editor was introduced).

I’m posting a video of an issue that I have mentioned before whereby when nudging notes in the score editor using the keyboard (Option + up/down) can stop working properly and the key editor and score editor lose sync.

I have been trying to spot a way to reproduce this for months, but it just happens randomly in all my projects after a while of editing, so I can’t provide steps nor do I feel a project file would shed any further light. I could start a fresh project with 1 track in the score and after continuous editing this would occur eventually.

As the video shows, when this occurs, dragging a note works all the time but using nudge is broken. The midi updates, the info line with the note name is correct, but the score is not changing.

A clue may be something to do with highlighting/UI focus. When you click on the note it highlights orange, but as soon as you nudge, the highlighting stops and it takes a few clicks to be able to highlight that note again.

It can start working again on closing/re-opening the score editor - but not always.

It might seem a small bug but this has led to errors creeping into my scores. Acoustic feedback on nudging (which is still outstanding) would help mitigate this.

I’m sorry, I still cannot replicate your 1st issue. The 2nd one is probably some kind of side-effect.

Which macOS version do you use? What screen-resolution do you use (if you have multiple screens, does it happen on all screens)?

I doubt you’ll be able to reproduce this quickly. It typically occurs when I’m in a long session for a few hours and eventually this happens.

I’m not quite sure what you mean about the 1st and 2nd issue. There is one issue as far as I can see - nudging notes eventually stops working.

If you are referring to acoustic feedback on notes as the 2nd issue - my understanding is that it is just not implemented rather than a side effect. I’ve posted about it a few times.

I have 3 monitors but I’ve seen it on both my main 2 monitors.

I’m on Sonoma 14.8.1.
