Score editor - So many Double Flats

I found some nice features in the latest update… bar numbering and such. But this ‘feature’ was annoying:
An inordinate amount of double flats appeared in the score (single instrument) and I found that an edit of any sort to the note (even adjust the velocity!!) would update the bar to a nicer look.

The updates work only per measure. But once I got them all done, I made some other changes to the score page layout and the double flats returned. Ended up doing it about 6 times.
Is there an easier way to force an update to a section or the whole score? It does seem to know the correct way to display it but defaults to the unpleasant.

This is unexpected, so I think there must be something a little unusual in your project (or perhaps the sequence of edits has led to an expected state). Could you send me a DM with the project so we can take a look?

I get those double flats , too.

Cubase seems to “prefer” flats over sharps. The C flat instead of a B is an example.

btw: in the old score editor I had two key commands to change the accidentals, (#) and (b). That was quite handy, I used them all the time…

You can program a key command to achieve this.
Edit > Key Commands > Score Editor > Respell Using Note Name above / below.
I have programmed Ctrl+Alt+ up/down arrows for these functions.
That way you can select a number of bars and/or staves (or any area you wish) with the selection tool and change the enharmonic spelling all at once in that region.
As far as I have experienced, they stay put, even if you make other edits elsewhere afterwards.
