My score editor won’t open any more! (Ctrl&R). Any ideas? Elements 13, PC.
Hi,
Can you open it from menu? Double-check, the Key Command is still assigned.
Hi Martin.
Ni it won’t open from the menu either. There is just a quick ‘flash’ on the screen, but it doesn’t open. I have checked it’s not hiding behind other windows / screens. However when I hover over the Cubase icon in the bar at the bottom of the screen, it does show a score window is open. However when I click on it, nothing appears.
Key command is still assigned
Nothing is selected in the project window? Or are you trying to open a muted track/part/event?
Hi,
I agree, there is no MIDI Part selected.
On the other hand, we can see the Score Editor window is there, but it has no content. In Cubase 13, we couldn’t open the Score Editor without the content.
Could you try in the Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please?
Or could you even try to remove/rename the whole preferences folder, to get the factory settings?
Cubase Preferences folders are:
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Cubase X
Win: %appData% \Steinberg\Cubase X_64
Where the X is the Cubase version (for example 15).
MIDI track selected, not muted. Should I just reinstall?
Thank you! Disabling preferences / Cubase safe start mode did it! We’re back in business.
Have a very fine evening.
Ralph
Hi,
It wasn’t about the MIDI Track. It was about selected MIDI Part.
