Score in Bb

I have a score for an orchestra. I’d like to create an additional score arrangement in which all instruments are transposed to a single key. I did this by changing the “Transposed Arrangement” option in the arrangement options. I have everything in C. How can I make it in Bb? So that I can play each part on an instrument in Bb tuning without transposing?

Hi!

I confess I don’t understand what you’ve done, as there is no “transposed arrangement” feature. But I guess you mean you can see any layout in transposed view or in concert pitch (all instruments notated as heard).

Either use this, or use the Pitch and Clef overrides in the context menu of Layouts (right click the layout in the right panel of Setup mode)

I guess (but it’s just a guess) your document is an xml import, and the Bb instruments are not really recognized as such under the hood. The solution to that problem is to use the Change instrument feature and choose the same instrument in the instrument picker. Then Dorico will perform the necessary transpositions in Transposed view. Hope it helps!

Thanks, and sorry for my English.
I’ll write this again. I’ll try to make it simpler.
I have a score for orchestra. I need one additional arrangement of the score in which all the staves are in treble clef – so I can play each instrumental part on the trumpet (without transposing it in my head). For example, I’d like to have a trombone in C in treble clef, tuning Bb, etc.

One way to achieve this is to create a new Full score layout in Setup mode (there’s a button in on the bottom of the right-hand panel).

Then right-click your new layout and choose Clef and Transposition Overrides.

In that window you can override the transposition of each instrument to Bb with the Written middle C sounds as toggle, and set all clefs to treble where needed. You’ll have to do that for every instrument in the score.
