When you finish the new notation program you’re making, and when you integrate it with Cubase, please do the following:
Score Editor: “Option: Toggle Quantize view”.
The thing is, the piano roll is fast for editing and it’s exact for the midi performance we need. But the score editor needs to be clean and read like real music… even if the midi note ends 4 ticks earlier than a proper whole note value. This has probably been the oldest midi notation problem in the book. Notion got this right, but got most other things wrong. So in anticipation of the new features to come… please, don’t screw it up!
