So I felt a project was complete enough to print a full score. Only 24 measures and only 7 tracks maximum. As they don’t all occur at the beginning, I set not to show empty staves. As usual, I can’t reduce more than 91%, as that ruins the drum track. I was wondering why one line was disconnected from other staff at M7, 8 and then saw that all the other tracks disappeared, though 5 are not at all empty. again at M11, 12 only top line, likkwise M 15,16 and M19,20. M19 &20 actually should have all 7 tracks. Then M21/22 correctly have 7 staves though one is empty and it moved what was previously in 2 staves to one. And then the last 2, M 23 &24 have only the top line again, leaving out 4 occupied staves. Pretty useless score.
If you’re on 13, before the new editor, score edit depends on continuous midi regions, and starts where the midi region does. Combine all the midi regions you want on a staff into one region using the glue tool, and that should solve most of your issues.
Finally, set multi-bar rests to 2 in the score settings - layout window. When you’re in page mode, multi- rests will now be consolidated.
13 and previous had a fantastic score editor, but its features are not intuitive. You really need to read the manual cover to cover to get functionality out of it. The new editor in 14 is much more user friendly, though lacking in a lot of the deeper features (for now). Might be a better fit for your needs. For me, 13 is better (for now).
Thanks. Before your reply, I went and omitted the drum track and then, was able to get a melodic score without those problems, at 75%.
Strangely, the drums by themselves score at 75% without that corruption happening. I will try your suggestions later, but had enough of this for now.
