Screen positioning when following the score during playback

I believe I’ve found a bug. It’s not a major one, but it is an annoying one.

When playing back, in “whole page view” Dorico appears to use the wrong reference point when it comes across text at the top of a page.

I have a multi-movement work, with titles and text at each new movement, and even while in “whole page” view, Dorico moves the page down when it arrives on a page with title/text at the top, using the top staff, rather than the actual top of the page, as the “reference” point.

This makes screen recording difficult as Dorico “skips” down slightly on these title pages, off-setting the video image of the score page.

Simple version: “whole page” view does not respect whole page… it scrolls down to first staff when there is title/text on the page.

Let me add a quick correction:
Dorico does this regardless of zoom view (whole page or otherwise.)
The reference point is reset to the top of the 1st staff regardless of whatever else is on the page. It’s just particularly annoying in Whole Page view where it’s not expected.)

I guess, Dorico’s playback “engine” purely follows the music, and nothing else. Thus the music frames are the ones being “followed”. And as you have them placed differently on pages with and pages without titles, you’ll get this hiccup/jump. For your use case of making screen recordings it is annoying.
I personally wouldn’t call it a bug, rather a feature request, which would come in handy for screen recordings. Until then you could add a little remark “made with Dorico”
