Seemingly random folders get automatically added to the MediaBay database for scanning?

I’ve never manually added or removed locations from scanning in the MediaBay, but I see certain non-music-related folders added if I drill down the hierarchy in the MediaBay file browser. This has happened over time on two different Cubase installations.

Is there something that triggers a folder on the system to be automatically added to the scanning database?

Some examples include:

C:\Program Files\LogiOptionsPlus

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\NVIDIA

These locations show no actual media files when viewed in the MediaBay, to be clear.

I’m having the same issue since a very long time. Actually, I’m unchecking those folders right now.

But it’s messy in system folders. I’m not sure which folders I should keep to have all presets available (I know where my samples are, so this is not an issue).
