Seemingly simple feature still missing in V4 (really disappointed)

For my purposes I have rarely had to hide the pauses, but I ask: is there a way to make them reappear? sorry if i asked a silly question!

In Sibelius, you can still see the hidden rests in very light grey, so that their pattern remains visible and, if needed, you can selectively unhide them.

if you mean rests (rather than pauses, which are fermatas). Yes, you can make them reappear. Select the note immediately before your hidden rests and switch off the property ends voice.
(you need to select the correct voice if you have multi-voice staves)
