Is there way to select and control the standard FX (f.i. gate, compressor) in the channelstrip with an external controller or keycommand (quick control have only 8 options) For every VST you can complete setup control for every parameter. But for the build in FX I can’t find a command or setup to assign f.i. a CC or something….
That’s what I was expecting. I made a lot of midi remote setups. But there is no command to assign to a button or rotary. It works for the EQ but not for the other fx’s.
But if I’,m overlooking something I hope you can show me the commands.
Right-click on the control element of the parameter to be controlled (e.g. Gate - Threshold) to assign it to a control element of the MIDI remote device (e.g. a fader). This is done in the MIDI Remote Assistant by clicking “Apply Mapping”.
If a parameter is to be controlled across tracks, the assignment is also made in MIDI Remote Assistant. Unlike the method above, the control affects not the parameter of one specific track, but the parameter of the currently selected track:
That’s weird, That was exactly where I have been looking. I will look again tomorrow. I Have right clicked the encoders but I could only assign them to a quick control. The option you’re showing wasn’t there. (I was actually expecting it to be there) Maybe I had a beer to much or I need to get new glasses.
It’s late now over here. Maybe a good night sleep will have me see ‘clear’ again…
I’m not entirely sure what you mean, but the links between the elements of the MIDI remote device and the Cubase/plug-in functions are defined in the MIDI Remote Mapping Assistant and can only be changed there.
Hi, the Nektar Panorama CS12 works perfectly with that
The only thing to note is that in order to control them, they have to be already loaded into the channel.
please, stick to English since this is a public forum with English as official forum language. This way everyone can participate. There’s always the option to send a PM, though.
I hope I don’t come across as the Language Police - that was not my intention
You are correct. In the channel strip zone to the left of the Inspector, and also in the channel strip of the mixing console, there is no right-click context menu. You’ll have to open the channel settings (“e” button) in order to get this menu.
I’m looking if I can remote control the enable/disable button and if it’s possible to remote select and insert
an option from the menu. I can’t see an option for this.
Curious enough for the EQ ‘module’ there is a ‘Project logical editor’ command for the En-Disable button that can be assigned to a key or remote element. But I can’t find a way to do this for the other modules.
While Bypass is easy to recognize visually (plugin turns gray), Deactivation (via MIDI Remote) is not visually implemented (bug?). But it is AUDIBLE when the effect is deactivated.
