What does select song is supposed to do exactly? I can scroll to next and previous song but once I press select song that it selects the 1st song… I was expecting a selected song tab would unfold showing all song parts actually…
Hi @Pieffe ,
Isn’t it the new addition, u can fire song “n” directly? It will pull data1, or 2 to identify “n”.
Eg u have a 10btn controller, can fire song 9. by pressing 9. btn, etc
Hi fkalmus
I have tried different scenarios …To me it does not work that way… or any way I can understand…
hi, just spent 10sec on it quickly on my workstation to check if i wrote u correct nfo
yes, it’s selecting the n. song as i’m playing notes on my 88key midi keyboard (piano) with these settings in the field you screenshot-ted:
I think you refer to keyboard shortcuts rather than MIDI control?
Actions which require an index parameter (“Select Song”, “Select Part” etc) cannot be controlled with keyboard shortcuts - well, they can, but the index is always 0 (or “first”) in that case.
When using MIDI cc, the index for these functions is taken from data2.
What am I doing wrong? I’ve mapped Midi controller 56 to song select, I’ve checked the midi monitor and it’s receiving messages. But the songs on the left aren’t changing (being selected). Thanks in advance for your help.
Tried exactly the same right now and it works just fine. Are you sure to use a controller on the the “akai” port? Midi Monitor has a different port selected. Also note that you cannot change Songs when transport is running.
