I’m curious why D4 didn’t grab this dynamic for the popover, instead thinking I wanted to add a dynamic (to a decrescendo). I’d expect it to show the decrescendo to which I can add a final dynamic marking. Sometimes D4 will grab the dynamic and sometimes not, I’m not sure the rules are for how this works, any idea?
You have to edit the selected dynamic by hitting Return, rather than type Shift+D. However, when you have multiple dynamics selected like this, Return will I think show the caret rather than open the popover. If those dynamics are linked, then it should be OK in any case: select the top one, hit Return, the popover will open and you can edit the dynamic.
