Selecting chords tied over barline

I feel like I’ve seen this requested before but I can’t find it by searching. Often I find myself trying to select a whole-note chord tied over multiple bars, by clicking in the second or third bar of the tied chord (not on the chord itself, because I’m trying to select the whole chord). But that doesn’t work: you can only select a chord by clicking in its first bar.

This makes sense, since Dorico considers the chord as a single entity. But if it’s feasible, I’d appreciate the ability to click within a bar to select all the items in that bar, even if those items start before the barline.

Pressing Shift and then select a note of the cord with the mouse.
Although that works in my test file.

Edit: not what you asked for (I didn’t see the feature-request)

I’d like that too!
