selecting complete notes above/below a selected note only on current staff by using a computer keyboard

Dear users and developers,

I frequently need to select notes above/below from a selected note on a staff.

Pressing upward arrow with shift selects notes on the staff above the current staff.
Pressing downward arrow with shift selects notes on the staff below the current staff.

Pressing upward arrow with shift and command selects notes on all staves above the current staff.
Pressing downward arrow with shift and command selects notes on all staves below the current staff.

Could we have the keyboard shortcuts to select only the notes on the current staff?
For example,

  • [Shift + Ctrl + Arrow UP] or [Shift + Alt + Arrow UP]: to select notes above from a selected note on current staff.
  • [Shift + Ctrl + Arrow DOWN] or [Shift + Alt + Arrow DOWN]: to select notes below from a selected note on current staff.
    etc.

We have been considering changes to the selection of notes with Shift+up/down arrow to ensure that it selects notes on the current staff before it adds the staff above/below, so we will probably do this at some point in the future.
