When selecting the three dotted notes in the screenshot below, only the dot in the highest voice is selected. Then when changing the value of these notes to 1/4 the two lower notes (second down stem voice) are notated as two eighths tied together. I want them all to be notated as 1/4 notes.
I’ve checked the notation options to see if there’s some setting I need to change but couldn’t find one.
I can reproduce the rhythm dot for the downstem voice not appearing to be selected (they don’t turn orange), but I can’t reproduce the different notation between voices when I change the note value. They either all end up as tied eighths, or when I use force duration, they all end up as a quarter note.
Did you try change them all at once, or one voice at a time?
As for Notation options, it’s hard to tell because your screenshot doesn’t really show anything (time signature, position of the notes within the bar, etc.). A larger screenshot or a cut down version of the project would help.
I’ve tried both ways.
And does it help to select all notes, activate Force Duration (letter O) and then changing them to a quarter note?
