Hi. I am finding Dorico 5 fairly straightforward, but often when adding crescendos, etc, I can not select the handles because they are overlapped by the gray measure indicators (I can’t remember what Dorico calls them). I could change the rasters, but this strikes me as clumsy, Is there an easier way? Thanks!
Welcome to the forum, @ste2123190. I suggest you switch off the system track via View > System Track.
In addition, if objects overlap, keep pressed Alt/Option-Shift and click on the items stack: this will let you cycle-select through all of them.
Thanks!
Actually, one of the hardest things about Dorico (as opposed to presonus notion) is knowing what things are called. Now that you have told me that that it is called the system track, it is easy. Like finding where changing the font size for rehearsal marks are…buried in library - paragraph styles…who would just know to look there?
Browsing didn’t get me anywhere cause I just didn’t have the correct term
Oh…and I tried opt-shift on my mac and i couldn’t find something that looked like an items stack…searching the manual for “items stack” didn;t get me there either.
The Option-Shift-click trick doesn’t apply to the system track, unfortunately. But anytime you have overlapping items in the score it should work.
True! I came to Dorico from Sibelius, so there were fewer new terms to me. There is a glossary in the documentation, worth browsing.
