I have a multi-page flow that I want to apply note spacing change to. In Engrave (Graphic Editing), if I drag-to-select a single system, or two systems, then go to Engrave->Note Spacing Change… the dialog box opens and I can adjust the spacing. All good.
BUT, if I select more than two systems, then going to Engrave->Note Spacing Change does nothing (no dialog box appears). The same happens when I drag to select the whole flow (which is what I really want to do).
Am I doing something wrong? Shouldn’t there be a ‘Select All’ for Engrave mode? And shouldn’t Note Spacing Change… work for any size selection?
My understanding (which might be wrong!) of applying a Note Spacing Change is that it’s a flagged (“signpost-ed”) item that changes everything after it, akin to a tempo or meter entry. A later measure can then contain a change with value Reset to return to the previous spacing.
This doesn’t directly answer your question, of course, but — if correct — suggests that, as a practical approach, you don’t really need to use selection at all.
What result are you wanting to achieve on these two pages?

You “might have been wrong” - but you’re not! No selection is needed and the change is applied to the end of the flow. Thanks!
