Selecting the notes of a chord on one stave only

Shift + arrow up or down selects all the notes in a chord plus the stave above or below in Full score/Gallery view. Is there a way to use only the keyboard (no mouse) to select just the notes in the chord while one note is selected in that chord?

I think Shift+Cmd/Ctrl+A (Select More) will do the trick.

Thanks for your reply. I also found that hitting tab will do the same thing for this purpose. In reality, I was hoping that I could select notes one at a time with up/down. (Finale refugee here)
