I have a file that I would like to send you that includes several snippets in .png images. I don’t see these resolved when i paste them in here. I have them stored both in a Word document and in HTML.
Upload the image files directly.
By the way even after 40 years of existence MS Word is still inappropriate to store images. 
I can store .png images in Word, but I cannot copy them into Steinberg’s forum transmission utility.

As @Vadian told you, the easiest path is to send them directly in your post. For instance, this is a PNG file, dragged and dropped (but could be copied and pasted) :
If the forum does not allow you, this might be because of Discourse limitations or rules of the forum, for instance if you’re too “new”, have not posted or reacted enough, as per those Discourse Trust Levels.
