Sending Midi clock to Strymon El capistan v2

Well I got to try it on another DAW today, actually the exact same as I have at home (Cubase 12 Pro)…..and…..it works!

So it is definitely my home computer that is sending some secret midi message….that is a mystery but I am happy that the Strymon pedal is working as it should

Well, happy testing after throwing your other computer out of the window (3rd floor) as announced. Make sure to bring batteries

Dang it, I hoped people had forgotten about that….I was frustrated, ok :joy::blush:

change the rcv midi channel on strymon - midi clock doesnt have a channel.

I have tried that already, does not fix the problem.

im sorry - ime, cubase does amazing job of sending clock to external devices like sequencers, drum machines, synths & have never had this problem. however i’ve learned to be wary of all record enabled midi channels, & cubase defaults to ‘any midi input’. if you have any controllers assigned in midi remotes look what cc’s.. like i map click volume, crtl rm vol, to a controller & if a track gets enabled with all then one of those movements can eff up instruments, etc.. even another hw smth or fx could be set to set to send midi out w/out u knowing
