Tried a search here but didn’t get the specific info I need. The power calculator here says that my HD650 need 12mw power, 2.00V RMS voltage, 6.0 RMS current.
The UR12 specs are: Maximum Output Level: 6 mW+6 mW, 40 Ohm
First, does 6 mW + 6mW mean per side? The HD650 are breaking up at fairly low volume levels when I try driving them with the UR12. Is this expected? Is it the case that ‘The UR12 will drive the HD650 just fine up to what are ‘normal’ levels for DAW work but if you want to listen casually and need more level, you’ll need a headphone amp’?
