Separate Channel Visibility Configurations for Mix Consoles 2, 3 & 4

Please implement separate channel visibility configurations for the other three mix consoles. It doesn’t even need to be as many as the eight on the main mix console; half of that will do.

Also, work with the companies that make DAW controllers (Icon, Softube, SSL, etc) so that the controllers will update when another mix console is selected.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t believe either of the above features are present.

Why?

Which version of Cubase are you using? I don’t see a limit in Cubase 15 Pro. Without any issues, I was able to create 32 configurations.

What do you have in mind? You can have more than one mix console visible at the same time, and none of them have to be “selected” for you to use your controllers.

Because they all (2, 3 & 4) share the same CV configurations as the ones created in the main console, which isn’t great if all the configurations are used up (which happens quite regularly in my case) and there is a need for more.

Ok… admittedly, I’ve [literally] just installed CB15P (purchased it a few weeks ago, but was waiting until I had completed the projects I had started in CB14P (call it bugophobia)), so I’ll have a go.

32, eh? Nice!

Well, since the number CV configurations have been increased (thank you, Steinberg), my need to use the 2nd, 3rd or 4th mixer console has vanished. I’ve never used them, as I find the CV configurations fit my workflow much better. For the 8 that were available, I mapped each to a button on my XTouch Mini; selecting a configuration adjusted my DAW controller accordingly.

I’ve noticed, however, that there are still only 8 mappable visibility configurations in CB15P’s Mapping Assistant; 16, at least, would be ideal (thank you in advance, Steinberg).

I’m confused here.
There are:

  • Channel Visibility Configurations
  • Channel Visibility Agents
  • Channel Type Filters
The first in the list are for user presets (an effectively unlimited number).
The second has 7 presets/settings which are hard wired.
The last just selects which channels are visible.
In Cubase 14, at least, all these can be different for all 4 mix consoles.
    So what is the issue?
Not trying to be obtuse, just curious.

The same Channel Visibility Configurations I had created (the maximum 8) in Mix Console 1 were present when I opened Mix Console 2. That was my issue.
