This is also an engraving question. I want the snare to be separate in this measure only. That is, I generally prefer the drumset when snare and bass stems are joined as they are here, but in this particular instance it creates what looks like a bass drum roll with the snare drum roll. Do drummers understand what I want (given that only a metal drummer would roll a bass drum)? Or should I try to separate these stems, and if so, how? Thanks!
