Separating a note from a chord

Turns and Mordents do not playback in Dorico. If you want them, add an extra staff, notate the ornament at the correct place and to your style/preference, then remove the staff. Back in your original suppress playback of the note on which the ornament occurs.

Thinking back on your independent dynamics question. Have you checked the affect of Playback Options>Dynamics>Polyphonic Instruments? You could try turning this off and see what difference is made.

I am in no small amount embarrassed to admit this.
The problem was me :roll_eyes:.
Re-intalling Mac peripherals was the solution.

Everything works perfectly in Voice Separation as designed.
