Separating choir voices

Hi

Has anyone had success with separating a stereo recording of a choir (solo, with no orchestra) into separate voices?

As in 12 separate human voices who start off combined, singing as a choir and you want to divvy ip each voice?….Mary, Debbie, John the tenors…..Frank, Joanne, Sue, the altos, George, Leo, Joe….the bass voices…etc…..so that you have 12 individual separate mono tracks of Mary, Debbie, John…..etc?

No, the code tech state of 2025 doesn’t do that.

It can be done to a certain extent manually (not with Spectralayers), but is tedious depending on length of the piece….and even then…it’s next to impossible to de-combine the unison bass voices of George, Leo, Joe (for example) once you have the parts isolated (at least) from the altos, tenors etc.

I managed to do some form of correction using my Melodyne Studio. Still, looks like the best way to correct intonation in a choir is just practice, practice, practice
