Serius Issues with non stop clicking by the real time peak

Hey guys,

I am a PC user and the specs are as follows:

Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™i7 Processor Extreme Edition i7-990X (3.46GHz) 6.4GTs/12MB Cache
Motherboard ASUS® P6X58D-E: DDR3,
USB 3.0, SATA 6.0GB/s, 3-Way SLI Memory (RAM) 24GB SAMSUNG DDR3 TRI-DDR3 1333MHz (6 X 4GB)
Graphics Card 512MB NVIDIA GEFORCE 210 - DVI,HDMI,VGA Memory -
Hard drive-500GB SERIAL ATA 3-Gb/s HARD DRIVE WITH 8MB CACHE (7,200rpm)
Power Supply 600W Quiet 80 PLUS Quad Rail PSU + 120mm Case Fan
Processor Cooling SUPER QUIET 22dBA TRIPLE COPPER HEATPIPE CPU COOLER
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit
Soundcard: MOTU - 828 MK3 hybrid via firewire.

Something really weird happens with my Cubase 8 Pro (it’s the 8.0.0 version)

I open a session and it works like a treat. I keep adding my instruments (usual suspects, Hollywood Strings/Brass
8DIO Choir, Hybrid tools etc.).

All works fine, all good, I finish my compositions and turn my computer off.

I then re-open the session and the real time peak is gone to hell, it keeps peaking continuously which renders working pretty much impossible.

The ram load is not crazy, it can be something like 6 to 7 giga (I have had more in the past and it worked with fewer problems).

What happens is extremely frustrating and I was wondering if you guys had the same problem and if so, how did you solve it?

Many thanks!
