"Session optimised for CPU"

Maybe doesn’t mean much, but noticed this on the ‘About’ box…

Is that an ‘i9’ CPU its saying its detected.? My system is actually an i7 4790 CPU running at 3.6Ghz

Is it just a case of counting cores/threads here (to perform any ‘optimisations’)…?

This label comes an intel utility. It tells more about the capabilities of the CPU than the name of the CPU itself. IOW, my guess is that your cpu has the same math capabilities than the i9. This being, I am a bit skeptic about this very guess, as this is an old “CPU”.

Indeed.! Understood… thanks PG.

Still, the system continues - touch wood - to be running and coping well…
