Simple example, when I add a group channel, I want it in the right hand zone, So as well as being able to assign a default colour for track types also which zone in the mixconsole it defaults to.
I do not think that is possible to pre configure in preferences. why not just make a template and setup the number of groups you usally use?

Hi, no it isn’t possible, its a feature request.
A template is no good for adding tracks when your in the middle of a project.
Track ordering and zone placement may be good methods to add to the PLE. That would make some sense IMO.
But I thought the exact same thing as @glennloopez when I first saw your post
