Set Custom Instrument Qualities as Default?

Hi,

Is there a way to set a custom Percussion Kit (for Drumset) as the default? Everytime I create a new project I have to manually adjust the Percussion Kit settings.

Similarly, when I write for Baritone Horn I have to manually edit the Instrument Definition so that it is non-transposing and reads Bass Clef. Is there a way to just make this instrument definition the default?

When you have the settings as you want them, click the star in the bottom left corner marked “Save as Default.”

That worked perfectly for the Baritone Horn, thanks!

But I don’t see a way to save the Percussion Kit as default. There’s an “Export” button but not the star like there was for the other instruments. Is there a way to save the Percussion Kit in the same way? Thanks so much

I figured it out! I first selected ‘Edit Percussion Kit’ to get things the way I wanted, then opened ‘Edit Instrument Definition’ and selected the star for save as default. Now when I open a new project and choose Drumset the kit settings are automatically where I wanted.
