In Cubase, logically only one marker track is active at a time. If you want to set the next marker in this track and there are already nine or more markers in this track, this can only be done using a keyboard command (or via the marker window). In my case, I have programmed the command ānā for this. However, this command only works if you have previously selected the active marker track.
My feature request is therefore as follows: Please design the keyboard command Set next marker to active track so that it also works if you have not previously selected this marker track.
The Key Commands Add Position Marker on Active Track (and Add Cycle Marker on Active Track, respectively) work always, regardless which track is currently selected.
Did they change the name of these in Cubase 13?
In 12, the commands are found under Transport and are simply called Insert Marker and Insert Cycle Marker.
Yes, they have extended the Marker section in C13 and some commands for creating markers have been moved from the Transport to the Marker section.
Thanks ASM for pointing this out and please excuse my posting. I had forgotten to check the latest update beforehand. I will do so next time!
Nobody knows the entire Steinberg jungle, which is why this forum exists. To provide orientation, share knowledge and make joint considerations which, in the best case, lead to insight. So no need to apologize, mein Herr.
