Hey guys,
Is there a way to set the NPPE Hall noise to 0% on start-up?
Thanks, Nicolas.

I’ve never found one. However if you save your template that way, it does seem to remember the setting.
Yeah I guess that’s good and it’s kind of useful if you’re gonna be launching a certain type of ensemble for your projects either way.
Thanks @dko22
I always switch of the hall noise (and reverb, too) as it’s really just a nuisance in my view.
I agree 100% especially when exporting stems. Then it’s a complete nightmare!
I have a template I use with nearly everything and it remembers my reverb and hall noise settings.
Oh okay. Would you like to share it? Or how to create one that opens by default?
Thanks!
To be clear I’m referring to the NPPE template. Load the instruments you want and ‘Save As…’. and if you name it autostart, it will auto start
The Solution: Set the Hall Noise and Reverb to your desired setting. In this case all 0%, and Save as an empty template (No instruments selected) name it as the following: autostart.np_template as shown in the image below and you’re good to go!
The result will be that you can add the instruments that you want with the default being the setting you choose for the Hall noise, Reverb, etc…
Thanks to @dko22 @winknotes for the contribution!
Oh that’s great, I never realized you could do that. Works great now. I always manually set it to 0% because I think the default at 50% is extremely loud, and once you add any master bus compression it almost sounds like a vinyl record from the 1940s. I would hope a future update could introduce a manual mix knob, because even the lighest setting of 25% is too loud. Ideally I could blend in somewhere between 5-10%, but for now if I need hall noise I can add separately in a DAW.
