Setting markers in El Capitan using PC keyboard

Hi - I’m using a PC wireless keyboard with my Macbook Pro. It won’t allow me to set markers using the keyboard shortcut, despite this being defined in the Keyboard Shortcuts pane in Cubase. The keyboard works fine in other apps, UK PC keyboard is selected, " and @ are the right way round and shift works as expected.

Anyone else have this problem? I am using Cubase Pro 8.0.40 on OS X 10.11.6 with a late 2012 MBP.

Hi,

Could you try to assign Shift + NumPad to any function, just to make sure, Cubase recognise it correctly during the assignment?

Then we would now, the issue is on the keyboard side, or the function side.

Hi, thanks for your reply - I’ll check it out and get back to you.

Well it looks like pilot error - I was confusing myself by my inability to read the existing key commands, and also the lack of a command key on the pc keyboard. Reckon I need to get an Apple keyboard with a numberpad and a wire - unless anyone knows of a wireless alternative?

Thanks for your assistance.
