Setting Up Key Commands

I’m trying to set a key-command for an edit function. I go to “Preferences”, but the layout of the edit menu options there, doesn’t correspond with that of the menu items on the workspace.

In Nuendo e.g., the layout of the various menus in the preferences is pretty much the same as in the workspace, so it’s easy to find things to which to assign key commands.

Any ideas?

There’s a search box at the top of the dialog. What function are you looking for?

It’s that one you taught me:- Edit->Notehead->Slashes->Oversized Slash Noteheads.

There aren’t shortcuts for noteheads, unless you’re prepared to do some JSON hackery. I’ve laid out the principles here.

Not yet, thanx!

This is something for the devs to work towards.

I just saw, in the latest update, Anthony demonstrating how to assign a key-command to assign brackets.

Dare we hope, that the key-command facility will expand to accommodate all functions, as per Nuendo? fingers crossed
