setting up POD HD Pro S/PDIF with Cubase

I just bought an HD POD Pod and would like to use the S/PDIF out to the S/PDIF in on my Presonus Firestudio Mobile (via breakout cable) into Cubase.

where/how do i choose S/PDIF in on an instrument channel?

You can’t, instrument tracks don’t have an input bus, they only work with VST instruments.
Create an audiotrack instead, there you should be able to select the input you’re looking for. If not, make sure the SPDIF input is activated in the presonus driver, and press F4 in Cubase and add the SPDIF bus if it’s not there yet.
