Settings for Metronome whenever I import a MIDI file

I have a project set in quavers for the metronome but when I import a MIDI file also created in 8/8 the metronome changes and clicks I quarter notes. Is there a way to change it which doesn’t imply the metronome settings I have already tried in vain?

Hi,

What does the Signature track shows? Is it 8/8 or 4/4? Is the 8/8 message stored in the MIDI File?

Do you import the MIDI File to a new project (Create a new project while import), or to an existing project (do you import the master data in this case)?

the signature track shows 8/8 and the MIDI file is 8/8. You can tell it hasn’t changed when you ipen the score editor

Hi,

What do you see, if you double-click on the Signature Track Event (8/8)? Could you attach a screenshot, please?

Hi,

From the screenshot, I would say, the Signature is set to 4/4. Could you Add the Signature Track, to see it, please?

I don’t think I can do that with my version of cubase

Hi,

If your Cubase edition doesn’t support the Signature Track, open the Tempo Editor Ctrl/Cmd + T, where you can also see the Signature Events.

Hi,

Now, we can see, Cubase imports it as 4/4, not 8/8. Therefore, my questions remain:

I have tried creating a new project and importing. I don’t know what the master Data is
