Start screen does not keep the last midi inputs and instrument settings. Have to keep change them every time I start a new or open a project
These are just the default inputs. Are you missing anything when loading or creating a project?
You should apply Layer/Save Default Layer, every new Layer is created with that template (incl. MIDI Input).
All ports are saved with a project, and the last settings are saved when you leave the app, and restored when you open it again. Check Devices/Connections if you still think that there are inconsistencies.
