Several lines in a verse

Hi,
if I have a choral with a repetition section and another text in the second line, how to make sure that the numbering will be correct? The first line of stanza 1 has “1.” - no problem, but the 2nd stanza begins in line 3. Or in another case, how to omit several stanzas, e.g. only stanza 1, 3 and 7?
